Use takana pickled mustard leaves to add peppery, savoury and sour flavours to almost any savoury dish.
The large green leaves are pickled with soy sauce and sesame seeds to make a popular pickle that’s almost a salad in its own right. Lightly fry some takana before stirring through hot rice, serve as a side dish with steak, or use to garnish a bowl of ramen.
