Use the Mermaid Silver anodised savarin mould to create beautifully shaped savarin, a ring-shaped yeast sponge cake that’s soaked in sweet syrup and topped with fruit.
This savarin mould can also be used for mousses, rum baba and savoury terrines.
Aluminium offers even heat distribution throughout the entire mould, meaning there are no hot or cool spots, producing a consistent bake, every time. This aluminium mould has undergone an anodising process which hardens the aluminium, making it tougher and resistant to rust and the effects of frequent use. This mould is a durable, long lasting piece of bakeware that can be used time and time again.
The bakeware improves with age. Unlike products coated with non-stick (PTFE), which deteriorate with use, frequent use of the Mermaid silver products will enhance their release properties. After each use, the anodised surface captures and retains a microscopic film of lubricant which builds up to form a ‘patina’.
